The second RPCS field study trip looked into mediation process of the Yadana Gas Pipeline Project that cuts across Thai-Burmese border at Baan Etong, Kanchanaburi.

The three-day trip includes the presentations by Dr.Songkiert Tansamrit, Executive Vice President of the Corporate Strategy and Planning of PTT Public Co.Ltd. and Ms.Pinan Chotirosserani from the Kanchanaburi Environmental Group. The group visited also the pipeline sites along the border and PTT Operation Center in Ratchaburi to observe the project's environmental and social impacts.



Dr.Songkiert Tansamrit addressed to RPCS participants on the Yadana Gas Pipeline Project.

 

Ms.Pinan Chotirosserani discussed environmental impacts and human rights issues related to the gas pipeline construction.


Mr.Somphop Yongstar from the Kanchanaburi Environmental Group showed how environment has changed as a result of the gas pipeline construction.

Kanchanaburi Governor Chirtwit Rittiprasart addressed welcome remarks to RPCS group at the dinner with local Rotary Clubs.
