Applicants should not submit their applications to the Rotary Center 's university partner or to The Rotary Foundation directly.
District Level
Individual Rotary clubs conduct initial screening and select program candidate applications to be forwarded to the district level for competition. Club deadlines are set in accordance with district deadlines. Districts must allow sufficient time for interview and selection in order to meet the deadlines for candidate submission to The Rotary Foundation. There is no limit to the number of qualified candidates an individual Rotary club or district may forward to The Rotary Foundation for the world competition. Because application deadlines vary by club and district, applicants must contact their local clubs and districts for specific information on deadlines.
World Level
Each Rotary district will submit its candidates' applications to The Rotary Foundation at least six weeks prior to each each selection meeting. The world competition selection committee consists of Trustee-appointed Rotarians and representatives from the university partner. The Rotary Foundation will inform candidates and districts about final selection decisions in March and September.
Applicants should consult their local telephone directories for Rotary club contact information under the heading "Rotary." Local Chambers of Commerce may also be able to provide contact information for Rotary clubs. The Rotary Peace and Conflict Studies Program was established to provide professionals from around the world the opportunity to be trained in conflict resolution and mediation strategies and to become better equipped to help prevent and resolve conflict, as well as foster policies and create settings that ensure peace, worldwide. Offered in English, the program is aimed at mid- to upper-level professionals in governments, nongovernmental organizations, and private corporations. Beginning July 2006, the intensive three-month course housed at the newly established Rotary Center for Peace and Conflict Studies at Chulalongkorn University , Bangkok , Thailand will accept up to 30 program participants per session for two sessions per year. Each session will include both academic learning and practical fieldwork components. The program aims to:

- Provide advanced international educational opportunities for Rotary Peace and Conflict Studies Program participants chosen from different countries and cultures on the basis of their potential as leaders in government, business, education, media, and other professions
- Provide a means for The Rotary Foundation and Rotarians to increase their effectiveness in promoting greater tolerance and cooperation among peoples, leading to world understanding and peace
